Last night (well, technically this morning), before heading to bed, we had a funny conversation.
You told me you love me. And i told you i love you too. Then i asked you a rhetorical question if you knew why.
1st, you said NO (only because subconsciously you wanted to fish - that's what you get for answering so quickly) then you said YES - and that was left at that... ;)
Well, to satisfy your fishing expedition :p, i want to let you know one of the major WHYs.
I guess to answer the why i love you is to answer also why i'm marrying you.
M-A-R-R-Y-I-N-G You - I like how those two words flow through my tongue.
When my friends and family used to ask me (at the onset of our engagement) if i were already sure that i'm ready to settle down and if so, how do i know, i gave them a lot of reasons - all are true and stands still - as you are my most amazing person and you just have so many great qualities.
However, right at this moment, since last night, i had so much clarity as to why and how i'm sure.
Simply because I found in you the person that I've been waiting for: the better man.
Wait, hold your horses, let me expound on that before you get any wrong ideas.
When i say the better man, it's not that there is or there ever will be a point of comparison.
It's just that, to me, i know that you will always be the better man - and knowing this and actually having that moment of clarity gave me the assurance that I'm inlove with and marrying the right person. Because having that security gives me the knowledge that no other will do but YOU. If no one could be better then that only means i already have the BEST.
You are, as you always will be, my person and in my eyes and in my heart, no one will ever compare.
I thank you for you. I thank my God for you. And for that gratitude, i offer my faithfulness, loyalty and respect - now and for always.
I love you, that's why.
